Open Works
Open Works is one of the nation’s foremost makerspaces, and we’re lucky to have them just down the road in our fair city. For their brand new facility, they chose to clad their lobby and office walls with our rough sawn pine blanks, and they featured our heart pine flooring in their cafe and common areas. The pine blanks were installed with a slight reveal, creating a linearity that plays well with the blanks’ variety of tones and textures. For the flooring, we took original 1890s heart pine, planed it, and got it install-ready. The finished space looks great, and we’re damn proud to have a hand in it.
